Blue Mountain Health System medication review

Published October 15. 2013 05:00PM

During National Hospital & Health-System Pharmacy Week Blue Mountain Health System will offer residents a one-on-one review of medications with a pharmacist.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 22, you may talk to a pharmacist from Blue Mountain Health System in the community room at the Gnaden Huetten campus, 211 N. 12th St. in Lehighton, and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, in the cafeteria on the ground floor at the Palmerton Hospital campus, 135 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton.

Routinely taking many different kinds of medications or medications ordered by different doctors can lead to a great deal of confusion when taking medications.

Gather all of your current medications, including prescription medicines (pills and creams); over-the-counter medications you take regularly; vitamins and supplements; and herbal medicines and bring them to discuss with a pharmacist so he or she can look for any potential problems.

Register for an appointment by calling the hospital health system at 610-377-7070.
