Elementary students at the West Penn Elementary School, Tamaqua Area School District, were treated to intereactive programs to help them understand and learn about fire prevention, safety and protection.

Members of the West Penn Fire Company and fire police volunteered their time to hold the programs for the students.

West Penn Fire Company Fire Chief Clint Schock started off each session talking to students about how to react during a fire.

Afterwards, students were given chance to go through a simulation house, as well as view the company's fire apparatus.
