Police, firefighters and fire police were called to Mahanoy Avenue (SR54), near the

Hometown Farmers Market, just before 5:15 a.m. today after the driver of a tractor trailer

articulated his trailer over an embankment. Police report that the driver missed a turn and wound up backing down the embankment. Crews were careful around the scene as the

trailer was leaning on the sign belonging to Buchheit Logistics Inc. and Elk Group

International (also known as the old Morgan's sign). They added that the truck was loaded with batteries. SR54 was closed for a few hours as recovery crews worked to free the trailer.
