Theft from vehicle incidents probed
State police at Lehighton reported on several theft from vehicle incidents probed by troopers.
Vernon Robert Ace, 281 Turkey Ridge Rd., Kunkletown, reported $30 in cash was removed from his unlocked vehicle while parked at his residence. The theft occurred sometime between 12:30 and 7 a.m. on Sept. 22.
George William Ackerman, 8739 Sherwood Drive, Robinhood Lakes, Kunkletown, reported a wallet, $100 in cash, and a debit card was removed from his unlocked vehicle while parked at his residence. The theft was reported at 11 p.m. on Sept. 28.
Shannon Lynn Mitchell, 34, of 615 Franklin St., Bowmanstown, reported someone entered her vehicle while parked in the driveway of her home and removed a gray purse containing cash, credit cards, and her state driver's license. The theft occurred sometime between 8 p.m. Oct. 2 and 10:30 a.m. Oct. 3.
Vehicles owned by Madeline Ligenza, 41, and Allyson Carter, 47, both of Jim Thorpe, had items removed from their vehicles while parked in the area of 133 Behrens Road, in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County. The thefts were reported at 5:40 a.m. on Oct. 3.
