National Depression Screening Day is Oct. 10
Do you feel sad, empty? Do you have sleeping problems? Weight problems? Have you lost joy in doing things? Are you irritable and restless? Have trouble concentrating? Have you lost all your energy? Do you feel you have no reason to go on?
If you answered yes to more than one of these questions, you may be clinically depressed.
In recognition of National Depression Screening Day on Thursday you can come for a free 15-20 minute depression screening from 2-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Western Pocono Community Library, located on Pilgrim Way off Route 115, Brodheadsville.

Other sites and dates are from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Thursday at Pocono Medical Center's Stroud and Brodhead Room, East Stroudsburg; and from 2-7 p.m. Friday at Pocono Medical Center's Mountain Healthcare Center, Tobyhanna.
There were also be a free movie showing of "Silver Linings Playbook" at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Pocono Community Theater, 88 S. Courtland St., East Stroudsburg. A discussion and question and answer session will take place following the movie. Space is limited so contact the aforementioned phone number or email. The movie is rated R and offers a serious and believable portrayal of bipolar disorder.
