Mr. and Mrs. Gary Smudin of Quakake celebrated their 34 wedding anniversary on Oct. 4.

They were married in Christ Lutheran Church, Barnesville, by the Rev. Ernest Houston.Mrs. Smudin is the former Shirley Neifert, daughter of Grace (Hinkle) Neifert of Quakake and the late Elden Neifert. Her husband is the son of the late Algerd and Gladys (Lewis) Smudin of Tamaqua.They have three daughters: Jamie, wife of Kory Beidleman, Clamtown; Leslie, wife of Ryan Keefer, Cressona; and Tracy, Quakake, engaged to Damien Earhart.They also have a granddaughter, Shelby Lee Beidleman; and a grandson, Owen Jon Keefer.
