Vehicle stop leads to drug arrest

A vehicle stop along Interstate 80 in Kidder Township, Carbon County, has led to a drug arrest.

State police at Fern Ridge said Mikal Jackson-Stevenson, 22, of Elkins Park, Montgomery County, was stopped about 1:01 p.m. on Nov. 18 for a window tint violation.

At the stop troopers noted indicators of criminal activity and requested a consent search of the vehicle, which was granted. Troopers said the search revealed two grams of cocaine in the trunk of the car along with various drug paraphernalia.

Troopers said charges were filed against Jackson-Stevenson.
