Nine students from Our Lady of the Angels Academy, Lansford, were recently named Students of the Month for November for the 2013-2014 school year. They were selected because they exhibited the virtue of kindness.

The following are quotes from each student.

Kindergarten, William Behun: "I am kind to everyone."

First grade, Haley Rivers: "I am kind to my classmates. I like to help others."

Second grade, Aleck Jewells: "I am kind to my family, friends and teachers."

Third grade, Rebecca-Lynn Graham: "I got Student of the Month because I was kind to people."

Fourth grade, Brayden Feisel: "I was not disrespectful to my teacher and I was kind to my friends."

Fifth grade, Kendra Kehrli: "I'm nice to my friends. I try to cheer someone up if they are having a bad day. I will help out in any way I can. I always treat people the way I would like to be treated. I would never be a bully!"

Sixth grade, Nadiya Sieger: "I'm kind to others by helping them when they need it. When I help somebody I feel great and I try my best to help them!"

Seventh grade, Andrea McArdle: "I got Student of the Month because I was kind to my teacher and classmates. I was also kind to other people in school."

Eighth grade, Erica Baba: "I am kind to my classmates and teachers."
