Tamaqua girl cast in 'Annie'

Eleven-year-old Olivia Stettler has been cast as one of the leading roles in the musical show "Annie" that will be held at the Sovereign Majestic Theater in Pottsville. The show will be performed Nov. 23-24.

Olivia, the daughter of Charles and Heather Stettler, will play the role of Miss Hannigan who is the woman who runs the orphanage in this hit Broadway show.

A sixth-grader at Tamaqua Elementary School, Olivia's hobbies include volleyball, reading and arts and crafts. She takes voice and guitar lessons as well as dance and musical theater classes. Olivia has sung and performed at various venues in Schuylkill, Carbon and Luzerne counties and has won numerous awards for her singing.

The show is a children's version of the ever-popular Broadway show "Annie," and is being presented by the Pottsville Gymnastics & Theatrical Center, Inc. The show is directed by Sandy Kost-Sterner.
