Jewelry reported stolen in Monroe

Pocono Mountain Regional police are investigating a burglary at a Monroe County residence in which numerous pieces of jewelry were stolen.

Police said that about 11:35 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 6, they responded to the home of Ronald Lucid, of Shasta Drive, in the Arrowhead Lakes development, in Coolbaugh Township, for a reported break-in.

On scene officers learned that the home has been entered and removed was jewelry. Taken were several unique pieces of jewelry, including two William Allen High School rings from the 1940s, gold in color; a solid gold Julius Caesar ring with the initials MHS on it; some silver watches with antique bands; and numerous pairs of earrings.

While there, officers also learned that the home of Stephen Oldham, also of Shasta Drive, was entered and golf cart batteries were stolen from a golf cart.
