Schuylkill break-in

State police at Frackville are investigating a burglary in which a large quantity of copper piping and wiring was taken.

Troopers said the residence at 37 Preston Ave., Girardville, was entered sometime within the last year. Entry was gained through an unlocked door.

Removed was 50 feet of copper pipe and about 100 feet of copper wire from the basement area of the home. The estimated loss was $3,000.

The home is owned by Rick J. Gomosky, 62, of Ashland, troopers said.
