Two drivers were cited following two separate crashes in Schuylkill County.

A two-vehicle crash was reported about 4:13 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 29, along SR209 in Branch Township. Troopers said Patrick P. Owens, 51, of Pottsville, and Amanda M. Boris, 31, of Llewellyn, were both southbound.

Boris stopped at Willing Street, waiting for opposing traffic to pass in order to turn left, when her 1997 Subaru Legacy was struck in the rear by Owens' 2004 Toyota Tacoma truck.

Boris sustained a minor injury but did not require immediate medical attention. Owens was not injured. The Tacoma had to be towed from the scene.

Troopers cited Owens for driving a vehicle at an (un) safe speed.

The second crash occurred about 10:21 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31, along SR895 in the borough of Auburn. Troopers said Kyle W. O'Neill, 24, of Pottsville, was driving a 1996 Buick Regal eastbound and approaching a railroad bridge abutment and a left curve.

O'Neill failed to negotiate the curve and his Regal traveled into the abutment with the right front portion.

O'Neill was not injured but the car had to be towed from the scene. He was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
