Carbon approves personnel moves

Carbon County officials made a number of personnel moves on Thursday:

• Hiring Tammy A. Aviles of Hazle Township as a part-time dispatcher and trainee at the Communications Center, effective Nov. 13.• Hiring Alex M. Pope of Jim Thorpe as an IT specialist in the Information Technology department, effective Nov. 10.• Appointing Joseph J. Paluck of Nesquehoning as a collection clerk II in the Bureau of Collections, effective Nov. 10.• Changing the status of Kevin J. Doll of Jim Thorpe from county caseworker I to county caseworker II in Children and Youth Services, effective Nov. 18.• Changing the status of Connie Lynn of Lehighton from aging care manager II to aging care manager supervisor II at Area Agency on Aging, effective Nov. 10.In other matters, the commissioners reappointed Earl Henninger of Summit Hill to a five-year term to the Parks and Recreation Commission, which will expire on Dec. 31, 2019.The county also entered into an agreement with the Carbon County Action Committee for Human Services for the administration of the 2014-2015 Homeless Assistance Program in the amount of $27,359.
