Local physician indicted in Newton, N.J.
Gail Maholick/TIMES NEWS Local physician Dr. John R. Manzella was indicted in Sussex County Courthouse, Newton, N.J. One of his offices is located at 241 Delaware Ave., Palmerton, where he shared an office with his brothers, Drs. Victor and Edward Manzella. His other office is in Jim Thorpe.
A doctor with offices in Jim Thorpe and Palmerton has been indicted before Superior Court Judge N. Peter Comforti at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton, N.J.
According to court records, Dr. John R. Manzella was indicted on a charge of two counts of conspiracy with a Bloomfield man, Robert J. Kosch, to commit the offenses of unlawful practice of medicine and forgery.
Kosch also was indicted on 10 counts of forgery, unlawful practice of medicine, distribution of false government documents, fraud upon Chase/JP Morgan Bank and possession of personal identifying information.
The indictments took place on May 14.
Arraignments are scheduled for June 26.
Assistant Procecutor Seana Pappas presented the case to the grand jury.
