Tamaqua students honored for scoring high in SAT tests

Tamaqua Area High School students who earned a 600 or better on the 2012-2013 SATs in math/reading/writing were honored by members of the Tamaqua Area School Board. The recognition came before the May 14 committee meeting.

High scores in reading were earned by: Avery Banavage, Molly Betz, Tyler Billig, Mikayla Boyle, Joann Butkus, Tyler Butkus, Lauren Christ, Joe Franco, Haliegh Jacob, Caroline Kanaskie, Hannah Miller, Shane Mulligan, Denae Starry and Emelee Toth.

Earning high scores in writing were: Molly Betz, Joann Butkus, Tyler Butkus, Lauren Christ, Joe Franco, Dylan Houser, Haliegh Jacob, Caroline Kanaskie, Shane Mulligan, Nichelle Pucklavage and Emelee Toth.

The math high scorers included: Tyler Butkus, Brandon Fogel, Joseph Franko, Dylan Houser, Caroline Kanaskie, Nicole Mateyak, Hannah Miller, Shane Mulligan, Troy Reinhart, Martin Sedlock, Amanda Solt, Makayla Boyle and Austin Miorelli.
