Driver snaps pole in Walker Township

State police at Frackville investigated a one-vehicle crash in which a vehicle left the road and crashed into a tree. Troopers said Michelle A. Heisler, 56, of Tamaqua, was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Equinox westbound on Valley Road, in Walker Township, about 9:37 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, when her vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree along the north berm. Heisler was not injured and denied treatment. Troopers were assisted at the scene by New England Fire Company volunteers, as well as members of the Tamaqua Rescue Squad.
