A Monroe County man is facing a firearms charge following a search of his residence.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said they executed a search warrant at the home of Lewis Conboy, 69, of 716 Kuhenbeaker Road, Long Pond, about 5:30 p.m. on May 10 after receiving information that he may be in possession of firearms. Police said Conboy is prohibited from possessing firearms due to a felony conviction.Found in the home were nine firearms. Conboy was taken into custody without incident and charged with nine counts of persons not to possess, use, manufacture, control, sell or transfer firearms, all graded felony twos.Conboy was placed in the county prison pending arraignment.
