Published May 11. 2013 09:02AM

Lansford residents are urged to lock their car doors and keep their eyes open to thwart a rash of car break-ins.

Officer Chris Ondrus said at least 15 people have reported break-ins, mostly in the east end of town. He asked that people keep alert, try to get a description of the perpetrators and call 911 if they see suspicious activity.

Ondrus also asked that any residents who may have video cameras to please check them to see if they captured any images of suspicious activity, and to contact police at (570) 645-5844.
