The Lansford Historical Society will feature one of the area's most avid bottle collectors in a special presentation scheduled for next month and open to the public.

According to President Bill Harleman, the society will take a look at vintage and rare Lansford bottles on Wednesday, June 12 at 6:30 p.m. at society headquarters, 117-119 East Bertsch Street.

Bottle connoisseur Bill Perrin of Coaldale will be on hand to discuss some of his finds over the past eight years in the field of privy digging. Perrin, a collector of local memorabilia, donated bottles and other items to the society during the club's meeting Thursday evening. Perrin is an expert in the field of vintage bottles and will share his knowledge and enthusiasm for the hobby. Local residents are encouraged to mark their calendars and plan to attend the event.
