Woman facing drug counts

A Philadelphia woman is facing various drug counts following an incident at the state correctional institution at Mahanoy, in Mahanoy Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Natisha Mason, 29, was observed in the visitors' room at the prison with a number of packaged pills. The pills were confiscated and will be tested to determine what they are.

Troopers added that Mason is facing charges of delivery, possession, and contraband pending the test results.

The incident occurred about noon on May 3, troopers said.
