PSU-Berks falls in title game

Christian Marcin had a big weekend for Penn State Berks in the North Eastern Athletic Conference tournament in Washington.

The Nittany Lions started the weekend off with a 5-3 win over No. 1 seed and host Gallaudet University, before dropping a 4-3 decision to Harrisburg. Berks then eliminated second seed Penn State Abington with a 4-3 win, a contest in which Marcin had the game-winning RBI single in the top of the ninth inning.

PSU Berks fell in the title game to Harrisburg, 4-3, finishing the season with a 14-23 record.

Marcin finished the tournament 6-for-19 at the plate with three RBIs and two runs scored.

Marcin also contributed on the mound, pitching 1.1 innings with one strikeout, two saves and no earned runs.
