The way you wear your hat

Published May 03. 2013 05:05PM

Chapeau, bonnet, bowler, headpiece ... all are names for what is commonly called a "hat." Hats are the newest display at the Palmerton Area Heritage Center thanks to the Palmerton Area Historical Society. There will be an opening reception on Sunday from 1-4 p.m. at the Center, located at 410 Delaware Ave. There you will be able to see several hat styles and hat boxes and photographs of hats from the 1800s to the present, like these from the '40s, 50s' and 60s. For the next few months, this charming and varied display of ladies, children and men's hats will be available to view during the Center's hours of Wednesdays 1-4:30 p.m., Thursdays 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Fridays 12-4 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
