Palmerton's Tyler Snyder and Spencer Shigo drew the No. 8 seed for District 11 AA Doubles Tennis competition which gets under way on Thursday at West End Racquet and Fitness Club in Allentown.

Snyder and Shigo will face off against Marcin Boraganli and Paolo Turco of Bethlehem Catholic in the first round. Another Bomber duo of Anthony Gardo and Rich Roselli drew the No. 1 seed of Zach Shaff and Madhav Sekar for their first round match. Palmerton's Ty Green and Hunter Roberts will play Saucon Valley's Niko Hahalis and Michael Vidal.Among other AA locals, Jim Thorpe's Kyle Lawrence and Lou Squillace will take on Pen Argyl's Nathaniel Lee and Oliver Biasi; Jim Thorpe's Shane Bleicher-Otto and Dalton Becker face Pen Argyl's Zane Pagotto and Jarrett Person; Jim Thorpe's Avery Magill and David Castro meet Salisbury's Zach Young and Austin Albright.In Friday's 3A first round, Pleasant Valley's John White and Jon Walmach drew the No. 3 seed and will take on Bangor's Cesari and Simerini.Other Bears to qualify were Erik Ammermann and Brandon Percey, who will meet Parkland's Peter Harrison and Marcus Spiegel.
