History of St. Luke's presentation
The Summit Hill Historical Society will host a presentation on "The History of St. Luke's Hospital in Coaldale" on Wednesday, April 17 at 7 p.m. at the Summit Hill Heritage Center, 1 West Hazard St.
The presenter is Joseph Tocci of the Radiology Department and will include many photos.

Shade Tree Commission
The Summit Hill Shade Tree Commission will be conducting their annual Arbor Day ceremony and tree plantings on Saturday, April 27 at 9 a.m. The ceremony and memorial plantings will be held in Memorial Park near the post office. Anyone interested in sponsoring a tree to be planted in memory or in honor of someone may call John Kupec at (570) 645-9644 or Lou Vermillion at 645-9772 for information.
Trees will be ordered in mid-April. Volunteers to help plant and clean up are always welcome as well as any contributions to the Shade Tree Commission's efforts.
SHICO to meet
The Summit Hill Community Improvement Organization will hold it's next meeting on Monday, April 1 at 7 p.m. in the borough building.
Woman's Club meeting
The Nesquehoning Woman's Club will hold a meeting on Monday, April 1 at 7 p.m. in the Zion Lutheran Church. Carol Zickler, club president, will conduct the meeting.
The hostesses are Louise Stoffa, Rose Walck, Nancy Totani, Florence Kovatch and Jennifer Pisarchick. The entertainment will feature Dance with Kim.
The next executive board meeting will be hosted by Jane Pietruch and Anne Paulakovich at the home of Pietruch on April 14 at Lake Hauto. NCFC Ladies Auxiliary correction
The Ladies Auxiliary of the New Columbus Fire Company will meet on April 2 at 7 p.m. not April 12 as previously noted.
Easter egg hunt
The Coaldale Rod & Gun Club will hold it's annual free Easter egg hunt on Saturday, March 30 for children up to and including age 10.
Registration is free and begins at noon with the hunt taking place at 1 p.m. The Easter Bunny will arrive by fire truck.
