State Sen. John Yudichak recently visited the Carbon Career & Technical Institute in Jim Thorpe to observe the Lehigh Carbon Community College SHINE Career Academy, which teaches sixth through eighth grade students about jobs of the future through hands-on activities.

During his visit, Yudichak met with a number of school and state officials to discuss the benefits of the program.

He also got to see first-hand what the students were working on, such as a robotic arm and an electric car.
