Navy Club formed in Monroe County
On March 24, the Navy Club of the United States held its first organizational meeting in Monroe County. The meeting was held at the Gilbert American Legion Post.
In attendance were Bob Laughlin, national senior executive officer; Ken Stout, past national commander; Joe Toth, past commander ship 257; and Robert Siesputowski, chaplin-historian and public relations for ship 260.
Applications to become a member of the group are being accepted. Any Monroe County resident who was Navy, Marines or Coast Guard are welcome to join.
