Chauncey M. Cunningham, 23, of Mahanoy City, sustained moderate injuries in a two-vehicle crash at 3:10 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of SR54, Barnesville Drive, and Walnut Street in Ryan Township, according to state police at Frackville. Police said he was driving this motorcycle and was transported after the crash to St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital, Coaldale, by Ryan Township ambulance. Troopers said the accident happened when a 2009 Lincoln MKX operated by Karen J. Lorady, 48, of Barnesville, pulled out from the intersection into the path of the motorcycle, which was traveling west at the time. Cunningham was unable to stop in time and the cycle impacted the rear driver's side door of the vehicle. Police said Lorady will be cited for a stop sign/failure to yield violation after causing the accident. She was uninjured. Also responding were fire companies from Delano, Ryan Township and Mahanoy City.
