Carbon driver in Luzerne incident

Published March 27. 2013 05:02PM

A Carbon County driver was involved in an incident in Luzerne County recently.

State police at Hazleton said Elisa McHam-Delgado, 48, of Jim Thorpe, was driving southbound on SR93, near the intersection with SR424, in Hazle Township, about 1:05 p.m. on March 21, when an unknown male, operating a Subaru station wagon, approached her from behind. As the male passed Delgado's vehicle in the northbound lane he reached down near the center console area of his car. He then brandished something black, possibly a firearm, toward the victim and her vehicle before fleeing the scene south on 93.

The suspect vehicle is royal blue in color and possibly an Outback or Forester model bearing New Jersey registration plates.

Delgado was not injured in the incident.
