State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating two crashes on Saturday, March 23, along Schuylkill County roadways.

A crash was reported about 10:25 a.m. along SR443 (Suedberg Road), in Pine Grove Township. Troopers said a 17-year-old female from Pine Grove was driving a 2001 Mazda Tribute was eastbound while Mardelle L. Bouchette, 32, of Pine Grove, driving a 2010 Chevrolet Equinox, westbound.

Troopers said the teen attempted to make a left turn when her car was struck by Bouchette' vehicle in the eastbound lane. After impact the Mazda spun counter-clockwise and struck the rear of the Equinox on its rear drivers' side fender. It then continued west and came to final rest in the parking lot of a service station. The Equinox spun counter-clockwise across the eastbound lane and struck a utility pole off the east shoulder.

The teen, Bouchette and her passengers Gary M. Bouchette, 37, and a infant, Cooper J. Bouchette, were all not injured. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.

Troopers cited the teen for vehicle turning left.

The second crash occurred about 2:13 p.m. at the intersection of SR61 and Drehersville Road, in Deer Lake. Troopers said Jamie L. Stine, 25, of Schuylkill Haven, was driving a 2002 Dodge Ram truck northbound on 61 while Pauline Edwards, 37, of Orwigsburg, driving a 2005 Buick Terraza, was stopped on Drehersville Road, attempting to pull out to go south on 61.

Troopers said Edwards pulled out on 61 and stopped when she saw Stine approaching. The two vehicles then collided.

After impact the Buick spun counter-clockwise and came to rest in the southbound lane.

The two drivers were not injured. A passenger with Edwards, Sharon A. Shaw, 54, of Shenandoah, and a passenger with Stine, Ashley N. Stine, 24, of Schuylkill Haven, both sustained minor injuries, and taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville.

Troopers said Edwards was cited for duty at a stop sign.
