Lehighton Middle School play is a journey 'Into the Woods'
RON GOWER/TIMES NEWS "Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair," says Rapunzel's man, Steve Counterman, to Rapunzel, played by Grace Shanton, in musical/comedy "Into the Woods."
'Into the Woods," a musical/comedy that takes a chidren's book of fairy tales and entwines the stories, will be presented by Lehighton Area Middle School students on Monday and Tuesday.
The play begins at 7 p.m. each evening.
The performance, which features parts of such classics as "Little Red Riding Hood," "Rapunzel," and "Cinderella," is directed by Laura Welkey, music teacher in the Lehighton Area Middle School.
Grace Shanton has the role of Rapunzel while Steve Counterman plays Rapunzel's man.
Cinderella is played by Brianna Keiser.
Emily Haberman goes "Into the Woods" as Little Red Riding Hood.
Tickets for the performance will be available at the door.
