State police at Lehighton reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers.

A two-vehicle crash occurred about 8:30 a.m. on March 9 along SR209 (Interchange Road), in Franklin Township, Carbon County. Troopers said Loretta Oden, 54, of New Castle, Del., driving a 2008 Volkswagen Jetta, attempted to make a right hand turn from Wagner Street onto 209, while Frederick W. Baker, 63, of Jim Thorpe, was southbound in a 2004 Toyota Rav4. As a result the Jetta was struck on the left side by the Rav4. After impact the Rav4 continued about 15 feet down an embankment into a water retention pond on the property of the Hampton Inn. After impact the Jetta skidded about eight feet north and came to rest across both lanes of 209 southbound.

Oden sustained a minor injury and was taken to the Lehighton hospital by Lehighton ambulance. Her passenger, Michael Monte, 17, of New Castle, and Baker, were not injured.

A two-vehicle crash occurred about 4:16 p.m. on March 10 at the intersection of Forest Inn and Stagecoach roads in Towamensing Township, Carbon County. Troopers said James M. Graver Jr., 25, of Laurys Station, driving a 2011 Nissan Murano, was approaching the intersection on Stagecoach and did not see a posted stop sign.

He proceeded through the intersection and struck the Pontiac on the rear drivers' side door and tire area with the front of the Nissan. After impact the Pontiac rotated counter-clockwise through the intersection and onto the berm where it struck a stop sign.

Graver and passengers Spencer J. Hay, 14, of Lehighton, and Megan L. Sabol, 25, of Laurys Station, and Hay, were all not injured.

Troopers cited Graver for a stop sign violation.

Upon impact the Solara spun counter-clockwise coming to rest facing northwest off the road.
