Woman injured during crash between Coaldale and Tamaqua

Margaret Stahler of Tamaqua was flown to St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem after the vehicle she was in crashed down a brush-filled ditch along US209 between Coaldale and Tamaqua yesterday afternoon. Firefighters used a chainsaw to cut away the heavy brush that surrounded the vehicle. Responding were Tamaqua Rescue Squad, American Hose Company, Tamaqua Ambulance, Tamaqua Police and Rush Township Police. Tamaqua Fire Police volunteers controlled traffic around the scene. No more information about her condition was available as of press time.
