Macungie man charged in assault

Paul Stephen Voros of Macungie has been arrested by state police at the Fogelsville barracks with terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment as a result of an incident that happened at 11:13 p.m. March 16 in the 1800 block of Aster Road in Lower Macungie Township.

The victim is a female from Macungie who told police that during a verbal argument, Voros struck her with a cellular phone charger, choked her with two hands while holding her down, leaving her with a bruised neck, and stated he was going to kill her.

Police said the victim locked herself in the bathroom at the residence, but Voros broke open the door, striking her in the head with the door and leaving a large bump on her forehead. police said it is alleged he punched her in the ear with a closed fist, leaving the woman bruised.
