Lansford police handled 548 matters last month:

Police made seven criminal arrests, with five people committed to prison. There were three felonies (two burglaries and one retail theft); four misdemeanors (one resisting arrest, two simple assaults, and one possession of a controlled substance. Police issued 32 citations, including 26 traffic citations and six nontraffic citations. They also issued 10 parking tickets.

Police put a total of 3,023 miles on the department's vehicles: 1,233 miles on the 2009 Ford (ending mileage 55,731); 1,039 miles on the 2007 Dodge (ending mileage 82,763); 359 miles on the 1997 Ford (ending mileage 119,373); and 392 miles on the 2006 Ford (ending mileage 52,886).
