The Redball Military Transport Club's annual Winter Swap Meet was a very popular place to be when it was held at Memorial Hall in Jim Thorpe.
According to event coordinator Jim Gilmore, "the swap meet had a really great turnout, one of the largest that we've ever had."
"We had over one hundred tables of military surplus here and there was food available including Breakfast and Lunch at the Hall."
He added that "we had vendors and visitors from all over, from as far away as Toronto, Canada; Detroit, Michigan; Maryland; West Virginia a lot of people."
Gilmore finished by saying "our club loves having their Winter Show here at Memorial Hall its a great facility, its easy in and out for loading, easy to get to with plenty of parking, and we really appreciate the Borough of Jim Thorpe having such a fine facility."
For those who attended the Winter Swap Meet and for those who couldn't make it, the club also hosts a Fall Show and Swap Meet which will be held this year on September 20th & 21st at the West End Fairgrounds in Gilbert PA.
The September meet also features a large and varied display of antique military vehicles and equipment in addition to a large militaria flea market.
