Legions show the force during Mini-THON

Volunteering their talents during the Tamaqua Area Student Government Association's 2nd annual MiniTHON held over the weekend are, from left, Todd Lechniak of Williamsport as stormtrooper TK-7032, Ryan Chesakis of State College as Rebel commando Rydan Korrado, Nick Abruzzese of Emmaus as Mandalorian warrior Vardoger Wraith, Ryan Miorelli (Tamaqua native) of State College as Luke Skywalker, Jonas Bloomfield of East Stroudsburg as Jedi apprentice Tenron Otrin and Craig Staley of York as stormtrooper TK-6794. Lechniak and Staley are from Garrison Carida, a local (PA, DE, WV) chapter of the 501st Legion. Chesakis, Miorelli and Bloomfield are from Echo Base, a local (PA, NY, NJ, DE) chapter of the Rebel Legion. Abruzzese is from Mav Oya'la Clan, the PA chapter of the Mandalorian Mercs. All three legions are professional international Star Wars costuming groups which routinely offer their services participating in charity and community-minded activities.
