Monroe break-in

State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating a burglary at a Monroe County residence. They also probed a criminal mischief incident.

Troopers said a home at 1698 Astolat Road, in Chestnuthill Township, was entered by forcing a front door. Once inside the criminals vandalized the home. The property is owned by Carl John Nelson, 36, of Bristol, Bucks County. The incident occurred sometime between Feb. 21-22.

Troopers said the criminal mischief incident occurred at a PPL substation located along SR715, in Jackson Township, Monroe County. Unknown criminals cut a hole in a fence surrounding the substation. No other reported damages occurred. The incident occurred sometime between Feb. 13 and March 8.
