Minor injuries were reported in a three-vehicle crash that occurred about 5:52 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, along SR895 (Summer Valley Road), in East Brunswick Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Zachary R. Halye, 19, of New Ringgold, was operating a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am eastbound and making a left turn into a private driveway. Lora L. Boyer, 40, of Temple, Berks County, was westbound driving a 2009 Suzuki SX4.

Troopers said Halye failed to yield the right-of-way to Boyer. The front of the Suzuki struck the front end of the Pontiac. The passenger rear of the Suzuki then struck a parked 1993 Chevrolet S10 pickup truck on the front end.

The Pontiac came to rest blocking the west lane, facing northwest, the Suzuki came to rest blocking the west lane facing southwest.

Troopers said Halye, Boyer and her passengers, Melissa Eiffert, 42, of New Ringgold, and a three-year-old female from Temple, all sustained minor injuries and were taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville, by New Ringgold and Penn-Mahoning ambulances.

Troopers said Halye will be cited for multiple motor vehicle code violations.
