Traffic stop results in DUI charges
A traffic stop in McAdoo on Dec. 29, 2012, has resulted in DUI charges being prepared against a Treskow man.
Michael Tracy, 26, of 18 E. Market St. was operating a black Ford Explorer southbound on Hancock Street at 1:30 a.m. when he failed to use a turn signal when making two turns. His actions were observed by an officer on patrol, who initiated a traffic stop on Kennedy Drive.
The officer noted a strong odor of alcohol on Tracy, who was then given, and failed, three field sobriety tests. He was then transported to Schuylkill Medical Center-South for blood tests.
The results indicate a blood-alcohol level of .112 percent.
Tracy was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to use required turning signals and careless driving.
