Ed Sibbach and Mr. D. Martz of Mauch Chunk motored to Lake Harmony and said it is impossible to drive beyond the hotel. Snow 24 inches deep and high drifts cover the road to the YMCA. Charles "Butch" Sorber said he was unable to leave his home, "Hunter's Retreat," for three days on account of heavy snow. Only by having friends shovel him out was he able again to see the world. Deer tracks are very scarce but many rabbit tracks and grouse tracks were found.
