This 2008 Kia Optima, operated by Rebecca Kriebel, 32, of Walnutport, merged from the Palmerton area onto Route 248 West, at around 12:24 p.m. Thursday, at which point it went off the side of the road, came into contact with the guard rail, struck the median, and spun several times, before it came to rest across both lanes. Kriebel sustained minor injuries, and was transported to Palmerton Hospital. Assisting at the scene were the Palmerton Police Department, Palmerton Community Ambulance, Palmerton Fire Department, and fire police.
