McAdoo woman facing DUI charge

Published March 08. 2013 05:03PM

A McAdoo woman has been cited as a result of a traffic stop in the borough on Jan. 19.

Charlene Wofford, 34, of 76 S. Kennedy Dr., was operating a blue Hyundai Sonata when she was stopped for a traffic violation in the area of Sherman Street.

Patrolman William Curilla noted a strong odor of alcohol on her breath while in the process of obtaining her license and registration. She was given, and failed three field sobriety tests. A portable breath test registered a blood-alcohol content of .089 percent. Wofford refused to submit to blood tests.

She was cited for driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol, and failure to use the required turn signal.
