Tamaqua driver injured in crash

A Tamaqua driver was injured in a one vehicle crash that occurred about 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, along SR209 in New Philadelphia.

State police at Frackville said Crystal Fegley, 33, was driving a 1998 Chevrolet Malibu eastbound when she lost control while negotiating a left curve. The car went onto the south berm and came to rest in a ditch facing south.

Fegley, who was wearing a seat belt, sustained a minor injury and was taken to a Pottsville area hospital by Pottsville ambulance. Assisting at the scene were volunteers from the New Philadelphia Fire Company and the Yorkville Fire and Rescue of Pottsville.

Troopers said Fegley was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
