The Tamaqua Safety Initiative is providing window and door stickers to any local business that wants to make a statement against crime. The stickers, supplied to the Tamaqua Safety Initiative via the Tamaqua Police Department, state, "Warning. Business Alert Crime Watch. Our business immediately reports any suspicious persons or activities to our local law enforcement." Linda Yulanavage, executive director of the Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce gave stickers to local business owners during a recent chamber event. "Every little bit helps in the fight against local crime," says Yulanavage. The free stickers can be picked up at the chamber office at 114 W. Broad St.
