A Carbon County driver escaped injury when her vehicle struck a boulder that had fallen onto the roadway. State police at Lehighton said the incident occurred about 3:41 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5, along SR248, near Club Road, in Lower Towamensing Township.

Troopers said Barbara L. Greenzweig, 56, of Palmerton, was driving a 2007 Ford Focus when it struck the boulder. The vehicle sustained disabling damages, troopers added.
