Mahoning Township police said a fire at 6 p.m. on Friday, which leveled a vacant mobile home on Ukie Road in the Orioles section of the township, was the result of arson. Anyone who observed persons in the area is asked to contact Mahoning Township Police at (570) 386-2241. The fire was extinguished by members of the Mahoning Township and Lehighton fire departments.
