Jay Hollenbach Jr., president with American Hose Company in Tamaqua, holds a large antique glass bulb over his head. Another firefighter found it tucked away in an attic space of the firehouse last week. The company donated the undated bulb, with filament still intact, to the Tamaqua Historical Society. The society hopes to put it on display with other antique bulbs after major renovations are finished at the museum - sometime next spring. "Tamaqua was the third in the nation to have a municipal lighting system," said Dale Freudenberger, president of the Tamaqua Historical Society.
