Towamensing/Palmerton gets win to stay alive

Towamensing/Palmerton stayed alive in the District 18 11-12 Little League tournament on Wednesday night.

Towamensing/Palmerton used the long ball to beat Freeland in an elimination game by a 13-3 sc ore that ended after five innings.

Brody Boehler hit two homr runs, while Devyn Rehrig and Zach Schoenberger also added round-trippers for Towamen sing/Palmerton.

Boehler and Wade Haydt also put together an outstanding pitching performance.

Ben Serfass got the game-ending RBI single.

Towmensing/Palmerton will now host Tri-County on Saturday at 6 p.m.

Mike Kammerer got the win for the Bulls.

Limeport-LV Marlins

The Bulls jumped out to a three-run lead and held on for a 4-2 win over the Marlins.

Andrew DeCew had two hits for Limeport (16-4). Jake Bostick had two hits and one RBI and Luke Szoke went three-for-three with a double for Lehigh Valley (7-12).

Valley View-Tamaqua

Valley View scored three runs in the top of the seventh to hand Tamaqua a 5-3 loss.

Cale Bruso and Devin Masser had two RBI's for the winners.

Matt Minchhoff went three-for-three and drove in a run for Tamaqua.
