Pleasant Valley school board approves budget with no increase

Great news for homeowners in the West End no new taxes.

Pleasant Valley School District's board of directors approved, 8-0, with Harvey Frable absent, the 2013-2014 General Fund Budget with no increase from last year.

The budget is $92,511,437, with $6.96 million in the fund balance used to balance the budget

This means the tax levy is 146.016 mills in property tax; the Act 511 Earned Income Tax of 1 percent and Real Estate Transfer Tax of 1 percent (which represents a zero mill, zero percent increase from last year's budget.

The board also approved the 2013 Homestead and Farmstead Exclusion resolution. The maximum homestead assessment exclusion will be $3,127. The maximum farmstead assessment exclusion will be $3,127.
