St. Jerome's Regional School in Tamaqua conducted graduation exercises for eighth grade students on June 5. Ceremonies also included the presentation of numerous awards.

Graduates and the awards they earned included: Logan Blashock - Mary Ellen Coleman Award for outstanding service;

Bernie Gigli - first place in the Race for Education;

Josiah Gonzalez, Knights of Columbus Award for excellence in science, Principal's Award, President's Award;

McKenzie Habel - Board of Pastors' Award for highest general average, Lisa M. Flamini Award, Sister Regina Alma Award for excellence in mathematics, St. Vincent dePaul Award for outstanding service, certificate of appreciation for service as student council secretary, Principal's Award, National Physical Fitness Award, President's Award, certificate for service as mission representative;

Joshua Inama - Monsignor William E. Jones Award for outstanding service, National Physical Fitness Award;

Skye Koshuta - certificate for serving as student council treasurer;

Ethan Kuczynski - Board of Pastors' Awad for highest general average and excellence in religion, Knights of Columbus Award for excellence in math, St. Vincent dePaul Award for outstanding service, certificate for service as student council president, Principal's Award, President's Award, Good Citizenship Award from State Senator David G. Argall, Presidential Physical Fitness Award;

Nathan Litsch - Knights of Columbus Award for excellence in social studies, Sister Marie Eymard "51" Award for outstanding service, certificate for service as student council homeroom representative, Principal's Award, President's Award, National Physical Fitness Award;

Louis Mastroddi - Bernard J. Coleman Awards for outstanding service and excellence in computers, certificate for service as student council vice president, President's Award, Sen. Argall Good Citizenship Award;

Olivia Matula - Home ad School Association Award for outstanding service, Rev. Edward Coleman Award for excellence in religion, Principal's Award, President's Award, National Physical Fitness Award;

Ryan Morgans - Knights of Columbus Award for excellence in english, certificate for service as an altar service at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Principal's Award, President's Award;

Ian Myers - Home and School Association Award for outstanding service;

Paige Triano - certificates for service as mission representative and for first place in the Race for Education;

Anna Whitbeck - Principal's Award, President's Award, certificate for first place in the Race for Education;

Mary Williams - certificates for service as mission representative and first place in the Race for Education;

The Principal's Award is presented to students who have earned honor roll status for all four quarters of the school year, while the President's Award is presented for Educational Excellence.

Bishop's Awards were presented to Ethan Kuczynski and Nathan Litsch; Ryan Morgans received the Boyle Family Scholarship; and Mary Anne Stefanek Memorial Scholarships were presented to Logan Blashock, McKenzie Habel, Josh Inama, Louis Mastroddi and Mary Williams. Each of these provide a partial scholarship to Marian Catholic High School.
